Distilled from a single harvest of 100% Scottish Barley, peated to a phenol level of 107ppm and matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for five years, this Islay single malt showcases the spirit of Octomore and the precision of its distilling. Creamy aromas of vanilla are instantly present on the nose, followed by caramel, hints of smoke, candied apple, gooseberry and marzipan. The palate offers notes of barley sugar, pepper, smoky dried earth, charred oak and pineapple, before a long finish of peat smoke and a bracing sea breeze.
