Glencadam Merlot Wine Cask Finish (also known as Reservé de Bordeaux) is an elegant Highland single malt (70cl, 46% ABV) that balances the distillery’s fruity house style with sophisticated wine influences. Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, it is finished in hand-selected Merlot barrels from Bordeaux. This non-chill filtered expression offers a vibrant nose of wild strawberries, bramble jam, and ginger biscuits. The palate reveals tangy layers of rhubarb crumble, stewed fruits, and cacao, leading to a refined finish of dark chocolate cherry liqueurs and espresso. It is a masterfully balanced, naturally colored dram.
