It opens with waxy, honeyed notes, ripe pear, orange zest and a hint of custard, underpinned by delicate oak and baking spice. The palate is rich yet lively, with forest honey, vanilla shortbread, marmalade, nutmeg and a touch of milk chocolate, all carried by a smooth, warming 46% ABV. The finish is long and gently spiced, with lingering orange, honey and a soft peppery glow. This whisky excels neat or with a few drops of water, making it a vivid after?dinner dram.
