Bowmore 21 Year Old Ch?teau Lagrange (70cl / 48.4%) is a rare Islay single malt matured in ex?Bourbon casks and finished in French oak barriques from the Saint?Julien wine estate Ch?teau Lagrange. It opens with ripe dark fruit?blackberry and plum?woven with Bowmore?s signature soft smoke and sea spray, alongside hints of cedar, violet and subtle tannic grip from the wine wood. On the palate it is rich and layered, balancing autumnal fruit compote, toasted oak, liquorice and restrained peat, with a velvety texture that carries the 48.4% ABV smoothly. The finish is long, smoky and slightly wine?kissed, ending on dark chocolate and spice.
